Matthew J. Matechik, Esq
Attorney Matechik founded his law practice in Sarasota, Florida, to assist the residents of Sarasota and Manatee Counties in navigating the complex systems of asset management and healthcare. He provides personalized service at an affordable cost, dedicated to helping clients of all ages and backgrounds prepare for the future.
Before practicing law, Attorney Matechik served the United States as an intelligence officer in the Washington DC area for nearly a decade. He is thrilled to have returned to his native Florida to pursue his passion for law and serve the coastal communities he loves.
Attorney Matechik is is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida and before the United States Supreme Court. He holds a B.A. in International Affairs magna cum laude from Florida State University and a J.D. cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
Attorney Matechik previously served as the Chair of the Sarasota County Bar Association Elder Law Section and as the 12th Circuit Representative for the Thomas E. Penick Jr. Elder Law American Inn of Court. He is currently a proud member of the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section, Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section, and the Solo & Small Firm Section, as well as the Florida State Guardianship Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Jill Woodall
Jill, the firm’s legal assistant, graduated summa cum laude from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology. Her professional background includes management, operations, compliance, and client relations with additional experience in human resources, payroll, and accounting. Jill excels in creating an inviting, courteous and efficient experience for prospective and represented clients. She is an animal lover that supports local rescues, including fostering and adopting.
